MagellanGO, in partnership with MCS Microsystems Group from Malaysia, specializes in RFID and QR Code-based electronic government-focused identification cards. Together, our teams have been implementing RFID-based eIDs since 2005.
In 2022, our team saw a compelling need for a cost-effective, secure ID solution and therefore, launched a QR Code based Digital and Physical ID System called Secure Multi-application Code (SMAC) eID Platform. While designing SMAC, our focus was cost, ease of use, and security. SMAC is a lower-cost mobile and physical ID solution based on a secure, unique QR Code with blockchain hashing and encryption and works with a Government’s PKI. Additionally, based on client requirements, SMAC can easily accommodate a RFID Chip-based card as an option.
In 2016, we launched SAIDCARD, a next generation, dual interface RFID smart card with biometric verification on the card itself. SAIDCARD is a military focused smartcard solution which is FIPS 140-2 and FIPS 201 compliant.
SMAC is a Physical and Digital QR Code-based, Blockchain ID platform that allows Governments and citizens to exchange data seamlessly and securely.
The SMAC Advantage:
Any type of secure Government ID can be created by the SMAC Platform. Below is a high-level example of the types of IDs that our team has implemented:
- National ID
- Passport Card
- Work Permits
- Driver's License
- Voter's Registration ID
- Military IDs
- ID for Social Services and Benefits
SMAC generates a unique ID based on 128-bit or 1038 entropy
Data is only shared based on defined permissions and roles
Biometric Verification via Facial scans, Fingerprints & Iris scans
Multifactor authentication is used including OTP, Microsoft and Google Authenticators
We can implement or connect to the Government's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
Private blockchain hashing and encryption is utilized for an added level of security
